Jessica fell in love with singing at an early age. The Fairfax, Virginia native began performing at the age of 6. She picked up a guitar at age 15, and has been writing songs ever since. When Jessica started high school, she began performing at venues throughout the D.C. area. As high school went on, her repertoire started to grow. By the time she graduated in 2016, Jessica had written over 40 songs. Jessica's passion for singing, songwriting, and the recording industry led her to Middle Tennessee State University near Nashville, where she studied commercial songwriting in their well-known Recording Industry Management program. Jessica graduated from MTSU with a B.S. in commercial songwriting in May of 2020. The songs she writes primarily focus on youth, growing up, love, and adventure to create a universal theme in her songs. She hopes to spread love and happiness through her touching lyrics, graceful melodies, and sweet voice. When playing in the D.C. area, Jessica is often accompanied by her dad, Alan Yellowitz, a professional drummer/percussionist, who she credits with inspiring much of her musical passion. Many have said she sounds like an Alison Krauss/Jewel hybrid, though Jessica brings a unique style and sound that can be found nowhere else.
